NovaStar 10G SFP Module-M

The 10G SFP Module-M is a high-performance multimode fiber transceiver module designed for 10 Gigabit fiber optic transmission over short to medium distances. This SFP+ (Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus) module is compatible with NovaStar's 10G multimode fiber converters including CVT10-M, CVT10PRO-M, CVT4K-M, and other 10G multimode fiber converter products. The module supports standard LC fiber connectors and enables transmission distances up to 300 meters (984 feet) using multimode fiber, making it ideal for indoor installations, campus networks, building-to-building connections, and data center applications where multimode fiber infrastructure is already in place. This module is sold as a replacement or spare part for maintenance, backup, or upgrade purposes. Most NovaStar fiber converters ship with SFP modules pre-installed, but having spare modules on hand ensures minimal downtime in case of module failure or when expanding installations. The 10G SFP Module-M is hot-swappable, allowing for easy replacement without powering down the entire system. It features low power consumption and reliable operation in standard operating temperatures. Multimode fiber is typically more cost-effective than single mode fiber for shorter distances, making this module an economical choice for applications within its transmission range.
